January 12, 2012 - Early on Tuesday evening, a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle near Jones and Lake Mead. He was reported to have been transported to the hospital in critical condition. Few details are available at this time.
CBS 8NewsNow.com reports, "From what we can tell, the bicycle didn't have any lights on it," said Metro Police Sgt. J. Richter. "He was crossing the street in a crosswalk, but it was illegal to cross that way."
Richter continued, "Follow the laws. Follow the bicycle laws. Have lights on your bike and follow the rules of the road."
